For us, working on a kitchen was such a personal thing. Not only was it to be the center of our home, but being our first place together, my wife and I wanted it to be an
expression of us. The problem was, we’d only been married for a few months, when we started the design process with Ian, and we didn’t really know what “us”
meant from a design perspective. From concept to execution Ian was amazing. He filtered through a lot of our likes and dislikes, and came up with a magazine worthy
kitchen that really does express the details that were important to Michele and me. I look at Ian as someone who facilitated our vision. To be clear, I NEVER could
have come up with the kitchen that I now have the privilege of walking into on a daily basis. But where most designers railroad you into their cookie cutter/semi-
custom design, we both feel that Ian listened and learned OUR tastes, before coming up with something that really is one of a kind. Everyone who comes into the
house is blown away by how amazing the kitchen is!!! They simply cannot get over the design, look, feel and practicality of it! Honestly the only room in our home that
brings me as much joy is the master bathroom that he also designed for us. We showed him pictures of a spa from our honeymoon, and he took the spirit and
applied it to the constraints of the room. I can go on and on about the little details that he paid attention to, but the best praise I can give, is that we’ll look forward to
using him again when we move into our next home.
